The Grange Lifecare is one of New Zealand’s most new and purpose built privately owned residential village for older adults. Located in Mosgiel, East Taieri, Otago, in a spacious rural setting. The Grange offers a full range of assisted living care options including rest home and hospital care suites. The Grange has been operating nearly 3 years now, and due to the growth of the village, there are two positions available that will share the role ‘Master of Care, Communication and Organisation’- a role which is critical to the operation of the village.
You will be a conduit of information, you are discreet, you thrive on making things happen for our people. You listen. You are flexible and responsive to people’s needs. Your positive can-do attitude will help make our existing residents feel safe and valued, your colleagues heard and supported, and our visitors and prospective residents feel welcome and eager to return to The Grange.
Essential Skills we are looking for to thrive in our fast-paced environment where no two days will be the same requires that you:
As the director of first impressions, communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals. Your verbal and written communication skills will handle complex interactions, resolve conflicts, and leave a lasting positive impression on clients and colleagues.
Build and maintain great relationships with our residents and their whanau, visitors, contractors and our wider team, providing support that contributes to the overall success of the organisation.
Showcase proactive problem solving and demonstrate your ability to anticipate and address issues before they escalate. You can manage unexpected situations with confidence and creativity, making you an indispensable asset to your team.
Are tech-savvy demonstrating proficiency in office & operational software and understand new technologies, to be able to troubleshoot IT Issues, and train team members.
Will be open to learning, and grow in your role as the village grows.
You will be a key member of our team, working closely with our management team, across all departments. This is a full-time position; the position needs to be covered 7 days a week. We will appoint two people to this role, who will job share, a possible roster could be 4 on, 4 off, or you will need to work your share of weekends.
Daily activities include making connections for people, initiating sales enquiries, coordinating departmental activities, meeting and greeting people, coordinating resident activities, fixing things that are not working, managing situations that are unplanned, corralling paperwork and information to meet our quality management system requirements, contributing to continuous improvement.

Health Care team for new care wing

We have a new Care Wing opening and require full time permanent Healthcare Assistants to cover Monday to Sunday shifts on a four on; two off rotating roster. We also split shifts available.
Essential Skills we are looking for –
Ensure all residents are able to have their daily activities of life met.
Provide emotional and spiritual support as required.
Maintain the dignity and privacy of the residents, including adhering to confidential policies.
Adhere to health professional’s requirements in terms of specified care for individual residents
